The magnetic floating stand is built from wood and a plastic food container holding about five large powerful disk magnets. You can get similar magnets (but with center holes) from microwave oven repair people who replace magnetrons. The photo cube has a magnet in the top of it. The heavy 8 inch wrench is tethered about an inch below the magnet!
